Terms and Conditions

The terms and conditions stated below are for the use of the services of Powercarz Private Hire for your transportation requirements.  These should be read carefully before engaging the services of Powercarz. By using the services of Powercarz, the customer is deemed to have accepted the terms of use mentioned herein.

  1. The number of passengers travelling and the quantum of luggage loaded in a vehicle should not exceed the legally permissible limits. The size and type of vehicle should be chosen accordingly while making the booking. Please note that a child, irrespective of age, is considered as a passenger.
  2. Powercarz will only take in number of passengers in accordance with the licensing and insurance regulations. Customers cannot force drivers to take in more passengers or load more luggage over and above the number specified at the time of booking.
  3. Customers will have to pay a waiting charge of 20p per minute after the stipulated pick up time has passed.
  4. Any loss arising from exclusion of a passenger should be borne by the customer.
  5. Customers using the airport transfer services should provide accurate travel details at the time of booking. Powercarz is not responsible for any loss caused due to providing inaccurate information regarding flight details or other such matters.
  6. Special requirements, if any, should be specified while booking. Any requests after confirmation of booking will not be accepted.
  7. Child seats are not provided by the company. Parents / caregivers should make the necessary arrangements to ensure that the child / children are safely and securely seated during the journey.
  8. A price quotation will be emailed to the customer once all the relevant information is received. The quotation, unless otherwise stated, will be exclusive of VAT. This will be charged extra, where applicable, and added in the invoice / bill.
  9. Price quotation will be altered accordingly, if there is any change to the original itinerary or in the number of passengers or luggage or in the car type or size.
  10. On acceptance of the quotation by the customer, an email will be sent confirming the booking. Customers are required to recheck the information provided by them to avoid any problems at a later stage.
  11. Powercarz accepts payment made by cash, credit card, debit card. Customers paying by credit or debit card will have to pay a 5% surcharge. Payments that are made through online booking are exempted from this surcharge.
  12. Cancellations are subject to charges depending on when the customer has notified the company. In the case of cancellation on the day of journey, the cancellation charges will be calculated on the distance covered by the allocated car prior to the pickup time.
  13. Powercarz has the right to stop the services immediately if the customer and passengers place the driver and vehicle at risk by abusive or violent behaviour. The customer will not be refunded on discontinuation of the journey.
  14. The customer must allow for sufficient time for reaching the destination on time. Pick up time should be calculated after making provisions for traffic delays and any other unforeseen circumstances. Powrcarz will not be responsible for any delay caused due the above mentioned problems and any loss arising out of such.
  15. Customers are advised to refrain from any unruly behaviour while in the car. The customer will be held liable and will have to pay for any damage to the car.
  16. Smoking, eating and drinking is not permitted unless specified. A fee of £30 will be charged from the customer towards cleaning costs on the off-chance of damage caused by spills or littering.
  17. Customers should ensure that all luggage and belongings are accounted for upon arriving at the destination. In the event of any loss of belongings, the matter must be reported to the company within 24 hours of using the hiring services.
  18. Powercarz have the right to cancel all bookings and provide refund to customers for any events that happen due to circumstances that are beyond our control. These include declaration of national emergency, fuel shortage, war, riots, extreme weather conditions or terrorist attacks, etc.
  19. In the off-chance of the car breaking down during the journey, a replacement will be provided by Powercarz as soon as possible to the customer for continuing the journey.
  20. Powercarz will, from time to time, make amendments to the terms and conditions or impose new conditions. These changes will be updated online. Customers are advised to go through the terms and conditions before booking. The price rates for existing bookings will be at the rate quoted or applicable rate in effect at the time of booking.
  21. All personal information details collected will be stored, processed and used in accordance with the Data Protection Act of 1998.
  22. Powercarz has the right to subcontract its services, if required. A customer shall not assign, delegate or transfer any of his / her rights or obligations specified in this agreement.
  23. Third parties cannot, in any way, benefit out of this agreement between the customer and Powercarz. Third parties also cannot enforce any rights mentioned in this agreement unless specified in writing.
  24. In case of any contradictions, the terms listed herein shall take precedence over any terms or conditions listed in the price quote or any other correspondences between the customer and Powercarz.
  25. In the event of any dispute or claim regarding the rules and regulations, Powercarz and the customer will submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
